Jhay-Ar & Marcus: An Intimate Elopement at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens
Some wedding days are filled with big ballrooms and long guest lists. Others, like Jhay-Ar and Marcus’s, hold their magic in the quiet beauty of simplicity and the presence of just their favorite people.
They chose the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood, Kentucky for a reason. This place feels like a hidden world—winding paths through blooming gardens, ivy-covered walls, and that small stone castle standing proudly at the center. Before the ceremony, we wandered the grounds together, capturing laughter in the shade of the trees, stolen glances along the flower-lined paths, and moments where time seemed to slow just for them.
When it came time to say “I do,” it wasn’t just words repeated from tradition. They stood in front of the castle and read the vows they had written themselves—personal promises, whispered through happy tears and nervous smiles, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
It was simple. It was beautiful. It was everything a wedding day should be: a celebration of love, of friendship, and of the life waiting ahead for them both.
